To provide a protective powder coating that extends the longevity of components, we have a dedicated in-house facility for electro-static powder coating. This electrostatic process adds a durable external layer to a variety of substrates; including Aluminium, Brass and steel and can also be applied over the top of anodised or galvanised surfaces.
Size isn’t a barrier, as we can apply powder coating to products up to 4500mm long, 500mm wide and 1350mm high. While we focus on large commercial orders, we do offer cost-effective minimum coating charges for small batches.

As a result, we hold in stock a wide range of standard RAL & BS Colours and a growing number of gloss levels, metallic and other specialist finishes such as textured, fine texture, & leatherette.
In addition, close partnerships with our suppliers allow us to offer a fast turnaround on bespoke colour matching. This means you can rely on us to exactly match your colour and aluminium finishing requirements.
Our team are committed to quality and long-lasting performance. As such, we work closely with our chemical suppliers carrying out regular adhesion testing to monitor our pretreatment levels. Having changed from iron to phosphate pre-treatment, we are proud to have achieved over 1000 hours in salt spray testing on both steel and aluminium powder coated surfaces in laboratory conditions.
Salesmade Ltd was one of the first UK powder coating companies to invest in Zirconium-based pre-treatment technology. This non-phosphate product is one of many steps towards enhancing our environmental credentials and workplace safety.
Powder Coating Options
As part of our powder coating process, depending on the end-use environmental conditions, we can offer the option of polyester or epoxy powders or a base coat of a zinc-rich primer for your products. This additional base layer aids the consistency of bonding between the metal substrate and powder coating top coat. It’s also effective at slowing oxidisation rates and improving resistance to chips and damage. Therefore, this is advised for products used in humid, wet or corrosive environments and exterior applications.
Is it Necessary to Finish Aluminium?
Aluminium is naturally strong and, by forming its own oxide layer, is resistant to corrosion. Therefore, it is suitable for internal and external applications without a finish. In the majority of cases, aluminium painting, powder coating or anodising is specified to provide a smooth, uniform colour to products and components. Powder coating not only gives you the choice of a huge range of colours, but also the choice of gloss, matt or metallic and textured surface finishes.
Packaging Options for Finished Components
We offer a range of packaging options for your finished components, including environmentally friendly recycled paper and cardboard, or partially recycled polyethene sleeving and bubble wrap. All products can be boxed or palletised for transportation. To further aid product identification, stock holding and inventory management Products can be labelled and numbered individually, per box or pallet.
Our one-stop shop services extend to packaging your final product with any loose fittings, instructions, seals and gaskets needed to fully install or assemble your products. Alternatively, we offer full or partial assembly of your products and direct despatch to your customers.
