Your Profile Specifications
Our experienced team will ask you to tell us about the end product, end of use lengths and quality specifications. We will want to know the tolerances, assembly process and desired surface finish. This information will help to inform the profile design and enable us to recommend the best ways to meet your requirements.
If you have prepared a profile design, we will advise on any details that might compromise production. As a guide, we can advise on profile shape and wall thickness. We aim to design-in fixing points, screw ports and joining slots where possible. This allows profiles to be machined, and joints made, as cleanly as possible.
Beyond this, we can advise on the type of alloy used depending on the end-use and desired finish, whether it is powder-coated, anodised or highly polished. We will work with the extruder to ensure the correct level of protection is present within the packaging to limit any transit damage from the mill to Salesmade.
UK Aluminium Extrusion
Aluminium extrusion is the process of forcing the metal through a prepared die at high pressure and temperature. This is an economical, accurate and repeatable process meaning profiles can be purchased in advance and held in stock to ensure customers get a fast turnaround from order placement to delivery on site.
